Sometimes the slower pace of an overnight getaway is exactly what you need, and in Savannah's case, it turned into the perfect sister adventure. There's something magical about wandering through a city where Spanish moss drapes ancient oak trees, where every cobblestone tells a story, and where the charm of the Old South meets modern sophistication.

To save money and be able to travel more, I am doing more "out and back" trips, where you leave early in the morning and fly to a different city, spend they day exploring, then fly back home that night. Recently, my sister and I did an out and back trip to Chicago, Illinois. This was the perfect day trip as it was only an hour and half flight from Nashville.
