Hey there, I'm Katie! Originally from Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!), I've been calling Nashville home since 2017. What started as a move to be closer to my twin sister sparked a serious case of wanderlust since I was no longer using my PTO to visit my sister.

In 2020, I launched my YouTube channel to help travelers explore the world with confidence, one carry-on at a time. I create destination guides, travel tips, and packing advice that empower others, especially solo travelers, to experience more while traveling light.

One of my favorite ways to experience a new destination is to join a food tours to taste local cuisine and learn the lay of the land, not to mention enjoy one meal that’s already planned! I’m also a fan of ghost tours, where I can soak in the city’s history with a thrilling twist.

When I’m not traveling, I serve as an academic advisor to business students, helping the next generation of professionals find their path, much like I’ve done with my own journey into travel storytelling.
